So many books were important to me as a kid. But okay, I'll list a couple: the Emily books, by Lucy Maud. Corduroy, by Don Freeman. Where the Red Fern Grows, by Wilson Rawls. ALL the Winnie-the-Pooh stories. Lewis Carrol's stories (including his fairy stories, Sylvie and Bruno. They're always overshadowed by Alice, and I love them). JRR Tolkien. All of it. Narnia Chronicles. And Nancy Drew :)

6. Do you have an e-reader?:
Nope nope nope. I like my paper copies, thanks. E-books don't SMELL right, or FEEL right, in my hands!
7. Do you prefer to read one book at a time, or several at once?:
well, looking at my what I'm reading at this moment list, I'd say several at once. To the extreme.
8. Have your reading habits changed since starting a blog?:
Nah. I'm still a lazy reader ^_^ But just recently I have started to think about the books after I finish, wondering what I could say in a review.
9. Least favorite book you read this year:
Hm. I haven't been keeping track of what books I've been reading this year :P Oh, I really didn't like A is for Angst, by Barbara Haworth-Attard. And I usually really like her books! It was TOO profane, and TOO much about sex :P I didn't finish it.
10: Favorite book I've read this year:
Wah, hard. Okay, I'll just pick one. I really liked Fire, by Kristen Cashore. A LOT. I just wanted to hug it forever~!
11. How often do you read out of your comfort zone?:
Depends. I'm not a big fan of reading outside my moral comfort zone. Which is why I tend to stay clear of a lot of contemporary romance. It goes too far :( But I have managed to make myself read hard books once in a while. Like, right now, I'm reading Book of Negroes. And NOT liking it, but reading it anyways.
12. What is your reading comfort zone?:
Fantasy of all kinds (urban, high, dystopian, fairy tales, folktales, etc), science fiction of all kinds ^_^, historical fiction, the occasional mystery, a smattering of chick lit, poetry, and pretty much anything in children's lit and YA.
13. Can you read on the bus?:
Thankfully, yes. And on long car rides, even when I'm squished in between people in the back! I love not getting motion sick.
14. Favorite place to read?:
Up a tree :D If I can't find a suitable tree, lying on my stomach on my bed is good, or in my beanbag cushion with my dog. I also tend to read well on the bus. True story.
15. What's your policy on book lending?:
PLEASE BORROW THIS IS IT SO GOOD YOU WILL LOVE IT BUT PLEASE TREAT IT LIKE YOU WOULD YOUR OWN CHILD IT IS VERY PRECIOUS TO ME.
16. Do you dog ear your books?:
Nope! I use BOOKMARKS or I memorize the page number I'm on to keep my spot.
17. Do you write in the margins of your books?:
No way! Unless it is a particular double copy I have bought for that purpose (eg. I bought a copy of The Lord of the Rings for 25 cents in order to underline my favourite quotes[but even that was only in pencil] ) my books never EVER get marked up.
18. Do you break/crack the spine of your books?:
WAAH NO! That sound Hurts :'( And on that note, you should all look at this comic on the subject ^_^

19. What is your favorite language to read?:
English. Sadly I am lacking in the language department.
20. What makes you love a book?:
Hmmm. Mostly the characters. I can put up with bad plot if the characters are shiny! But a good plot, good characters, or a good voice. Or maybe it's just the pretty pictures it puts in my head. All these things have made me like a book in the past.
21. What will inspire you to recommend a book?:
I recommend books based on the person I am speaking to, and whether I think this book would do them good at this point in their lives. Either for fun, or for thought; not everyone should read even a good book at any time. Recommendations should always be given carefully.
22. Favorite genre:
Nope. I'll say Children's Lit and YA and Classics. Those are genres, right? :D
23. Genre you rarely read (but wish you did):
Oh, it was the wish I did that stumped me. Okay, I'm going to say comics! Yes I know this is a format but whatever I am ignoring those specifics ^_^
24. Favorite Biography:
The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom. It's an autobiography, but it's my favourite.
25. Have you ever read a self-help book?:
Hah. Yes. I have trouble with Insomnia, so my mom got me "Curing Fatigue." It, wasn't very helpful :P And my roommate got me Organization for Dummies! I think it was a subtle hint to clean up my desk ;)
26. Favorite cookbook:
Hands down it's any cookbook by Jamie Oliver. He's my absolute favourite cook in the WORLD. A close second place is the Molly Katzen's Moosewood Cookbook.
27. Most inspirational book you've read this year (fiction or non-fiction):
Watership Down. I'd raed this book before, and loved it. But this year my reading group did it, and it was fantastic. I read that book about five times over, because I'd want to just read along with the group, but it would be so good I'd keep going! Over and over and over...
28. Favorite reading snack:
A warm English muffin with butter and molasses, any form of chocolate, recently Vietnamese iced coffee, or even just a good cuppa Earl Grey tea.
29. Name a case in which hype ruined your reading experience:
I might get stoned for this, but the last Percy Jackson book totally let me down. People said it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and it was good, but...yeah. Too much hype!
30. How often do you agree with the critics about a book?:
The professional ones? I tend to not listen to them if I can help it! I pay attention to awards like the Newbery and such, but just reviews, I rarely read. I never think to!
31. How do you feel about giving bad/negative reviews?:
Well I haven't yet :D But I think I wouldn't mind too much, since it is only my opinion. And I can understand that just because I didn't like a book doesn't mean it's not a good book, or that some one else might not enjoy it. Just, don't expect me to recommend it :)
32. If you could read in a foreign language, which language would you choose?:
Definitely French. Because then I could read Victor Hugo and Jules Verne and Alexandre Dumas in their native language.
33. Most intimidating book I've read:
City of God by St. Augustine. Truly Intimidating :P
34. Most intimidating book I'm too nervous to begin:
I've begun it, but it has to be Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series! LOL. That series scares me to DEATH!
35. Favorite Poet:
Too many! e.e. cummings, Tennyson, Emily Dickinson, Shakespeare, T.S. Eliot, Shel Silverstein, Edgar Allen Poe, Edward Lear, Samuel Coleridge, and A.A. Milne to name a few.
36. How many books do you usually have checked out from the library at any given time?:
At least ten. Usually more.
37. How often do you return books to the library unread?:
Rarely, but it does happen. Especially when I was in school, sometimes I just did NOT have time :(

No. Way. I just can't answer this one. It's WAY too painful.
39. Favorite fictional villain:

Something Tolkien almost always goes with me. It's a comfort thing. Other than that, any paperbacks I've been planning to read for ages, but never got around to it.

43. What distracts you easily when you're reading?:
the internet! If one of my friends comes online, I'm so torn! I love you guys :D

Hm. I loved BBC's Pride and Prejudice. And I really liked Holes. AND as much as I complain about them, the Lord of the Rings and the first Narnia are very dear to my heart.
45. Most disappointing film adaptation:
Possibly Percy Jackson. Just because he's recent and I can remember him. It would have been so easy to make it awesome, and it just wasn't. I still enjoyed it! But it could have been so much more.
46. Most money I've spent in a bookstore at one time:
Not more than $40 dollars, true story.
47. How often do you skim a book before reading it?:
About fifteen percent of the time. It's fun to read the beginning pages, and then a few random snatches in the middle!
48. What would cause you to stop reading a book halfway through?:
I've put books down for a long time because they drag. I'm a sucker for excitement, and you don't have to blow something up on every page, but you do have to keep my attention. Long sojourns into the political world usually lose me for a while (I'm looking at YOU, Paolini)
49. Do you keep your books organized?
Yes and no. It's one of my favourite things to do; organize and re-organize, and mess up and organize again.
50. Do you prefer to keep books or give them away once they've been read?:
Yeah I'm a hoarder. If I liked it, and even if I didn't but I think I should have it to lend to people I talk to about it, it stays on the shelf. This is, increasingly becoming a problem...
51. Are there any books you've been avoiding?:
Still those Wheel of Time books!
52. Name a book that made you angry:
Tuck Everlasting. I get angry STILL, and I read that book six years ago at least! Ooooh, just THINKING about it makes me angry!
53. A book I didn't expect to like but did:
Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson. I didn't think I LIKED chick lit! Turns out, I like GOOD chick lit :D
54. A book I expected to like but didn't:
The Outcasts of 19 Schulyer Place. It was just...meh.
55. Favorite guilt-free guilty pleasure reading:
Comic books and manga! They're COOL and they're GOOD, okay? ^_^
